VITA Tools

SV Microwave has a suite of VITA 67.3 tools that simplify the process of installing and removing contacts or cable assemblies. These tools can be used for both the plug-in card and the backplane, and are available in SMPM and SMPS interfaces.

Different tools accomplish different needs. Tools like 500-38-015 and 500-38-014 are ideal for installing and uninstalling the removable adapter from the VITA 67.3 SMPS Backplane contact. However, 500-38-015 is 10 inches and is ideal for when your Backplane is already installed in the chassis, while 500-32-053 is a shorter tool suitable for when your Backplane is not yet installed in the chassis. Similar tools for the SMPM interface are available as well.

SV also has various options for installing cable assemblies into the Backplane and Plug-In Modules. 500-32-045 and 500-32-034 accomplish the same task - installing an SMPM cable assembly into Backplane and Plug-In Modules - but have been developed to provide the operator with different cable handling options. SV also provides a cable assembly installation tool for SMPS - 500-38-008.
