Today, SV Microwave is a world leader in the RF/Microwave industry. But this wasn’t always the case. Learn how we got our start in 1968, and how we’ve grown since then!

Solitron Devices was founded in 1968.

In 1993, a division of Solitron Devices was spun off and purchased by Holding Capital Group. This division was named SV Microwave and spearheaded by CEO Bill Martin until 2005.

SV West Palm Beach Main Building
In 2001, SV Microwave moved to our current location in West Palm Beach, FL.

In 2005, SV was acquired by Amphenol. Amphenol Corp. is the world's second-largest connector company, producing electronic and fiber optic connectors, cable, and interconnect systems for applications converging technologies of voice, video and data communications, industrial/automotive, and military/aerospace. This acquisition allowed SV to continue to grow and expand to new heights.

In 2018, SV West Palm Beach opened our R&D facility. Today, this is our SV Nano building, which hosts a variety of teams, including sales, marketing, and various engineering teams. This area comes complete with our SV News Studio, a lab, and a milling area. This expansion enabled us to continue developing NPIs and exploring new ideas.

SV Nano Building, West Palm Beach

In 2019, high-profile aerospace customers in the West drove the decision to establish a facility in Mesa, AZ. With only 17 employees in the beginning, this facility proved to be successful from the outset, generating substantial revenue and growing rapidly.

SV Mesa

In 2022, SV West Palm Beach expanded and acquired a new building at our location. This building is Nano North, and serves as an office space for our engineering department as our team continues to grow.

In 2025, SV Mesa got a significant upgrade. A large expansion into a new building allowed them to unite two separate manufacturing buildings into one continuous structure. This streamlined operations, eliminated the need for employees to walk from one building to the other, and created one seamless bay across the entire building. Due to this expansion, we gained 10,000 square feet of production space!

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, Mesa, AZ
SV West Palm Beach also continued to expand in 2025, as we acquired another building. This new building will support NPI projects and new milled products, and is expected to expand our capacity to eventually double production.
