SV Helps Scientists in the Pursuit of Identifying Extraterrestrial Life

West Palm Beach, FL – April  22, 2021 – The James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), the world's largest, most powerful, and complex space science telescope ever built. It is designed to help scientists identify potential life signatures on other planets by detecting ammonia around six gas dwarf planets after just a few orbits.

According to Caprice Phillips, a grad student at Ohio State University, this means that scientists "may realistically find signs of life on other planets in the next five to ten years."

As a component and part supplier for the JWST project, SV Microwave has contributed to this scientific milestone and has over 60 years of RF space heritage. Learn more about SV's ongoing Aerospace project here.
